These terms already apply to the current free test use. The sections on price, payment, renewal, cancellation and withdrawal apply only once paid subscriptions and checkout are enabled.
1. Provider and service

Lesezeichen is a hosted personal library for saving, searching, reading, importing and exporting links, notes, images and PDFs. Libraries are not publicly accessible, and Lesezeichen has no feature for publicly sharing stored copies.
2. Account and content
You must protect your login and use the service lawfully. You may store content only from lawful sources and within the usage rights available to you. You are responsible for the content you save or upload. Illegal or rights-infringing content, including material that violates copyright, trade marks, privacy or other third-party rights, is prohibited. You retain rights in your content and grant us only the technical rights required to store, process, secure and display it for you.
If we receive a specific and substantiated notice of a rights infringement, we may review the affected content and restrict or remove it where necessary. We may suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated violations. Mandatory statutory and contractual rights remain unaffected.
3. Price and payment
The monthly plan is €4 per month and the yearly plan is €40 per year, including applicable taxes. Payment is in advance through the Stripe methods shown at checkout. Lesezeichen does not store card details.
4. Contract and confirmation
A contract begins only after a clear order summary, use of an unambiguous payment button and accepted payment. You will immediately receive confirmation by email on a durable medium containing plan, price, duration, Automatic renewal, cancellation, withdrawal information and these terms.
5. Duration, Automatic renewal and cancellation
The monthly plan renews monthly; the annual plan renews annually. The next renewal date is shown before ordering. You may cancel at any time in account settings, effective at the end of the paid billing period, without a cancellation fee. Mandatory and more favorable consumer rights remain unaffected.
6. Right of withdrawal
Consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw. A request to start service within that period is collected separately at checkout. See the withdrawal information.
7. Operation, changes and liability
We aim for reliable operation, but maintenance, security measures and unavoidable outages can occur. Material adverse changes will be notified. Statutory liability applies; liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury and mandatory consumer claims is not limited.
8. Privacy, deletion and complaints
See the privacy policy. Accounts can be permanently deleted in settings. Before payments are enabled, deletion will be made to stop an active renewal.
